After much debate, we decided that for Easter this year we needed to stay home. Everyone needed a break, but most of all Dave. He's been kicking butt to get our pool/backyard done and as of Easter, the only thing that needed to be done was the grass and a fence. The kids and I had Good Friday off, and had a group of friends from school up for a play date in the afternoon. The weather was perfect and the kids had a blast! Saturday, we had a family day and went to Costco and saw Rio 2. Cute movie, but Dave and I enjoyed Mr. Peabody and Sherman more. I don't know why, but I always have a hard time fitting in dyeing Easter eggs...but we did it! Saturday night...nothing like waiting!
Easter morning, everyone woke up and we found a note from the Easter bunny.
And I have to say, I was very impressed at how the Easter Bunny thought ahead. Jackson and Addison loved the note and because the Easter Bunny told them they wouldn't hunt for eggs until after church, they did not ask once! We even had time to get in some Easter pictures before we left for church. Didn't get a great shot of the family, but got some good pics of pieces of us together..

We met Grandma and Grandpa B at church. It was a good service! After, we were surprised to find yet another note from the Easter Bunny in our car.
They did so well with the first, why not a second? And both kiddos headed straight to their rooms when we got home to wait for the start of the hunt. This year we were going to hunt for plastic eggs with stuff in them, but Charlie took the eggs on Saturday and had her own hunt in the side yard. Discovery wasn't made until it was time to stuff. Oh well, we had the other eggs (now it was just imperative that we find EVERY ONE!).

| Proof that I was there too!! :) |
We had a fun visit in the afternoon from "regular" Stephany. She was the kiddos nanny for 2 years when Addison was born. It was nice to catch up, and the kids loved showing off. I had to run to the store to pick up a few things for dessert, but Dave and the kids got to enjoy the pool!!! Definitely worth all the hard work it took.

After swimming, we finished making GF apple pie and headed over to Grandma and Grandpa B's house. Grandma and Grandpa H drove through and joined us for dinner also! We had a great time celebrating the risen Son and our family.
