Copenhagen, Denmark

The only tour of Copenhagen was from the bus on our way to the airport. I don't know what any of the buildings are, except that we were all glued to the windows. I would have liked to have an extra day in Copenhagen, and maybe one day we'll go back...but it was time to get home!!
Morning wake up!

Last view from our room.
We're still smiling!

The plane we flew on from London! We finally made it. We flew in the seats in the top red band...awesome!
Dave and Nat with their only beer in London.
Our reclining seats. They were well worth it!

Oslo, Norway

We had a day and a half in Oslo. Dave and the golfers golfed the first night while Linda, Dianna and I walked around. We had a good time and saw the Opera House and wandered into a mall. There was a bunch of construction in downtown Oslo, so that wasn't the best first impression. But it definitely has potential. It's just amazing how all the buildings are build right next to each other. And I mean, touching. Dave and our golfers didn't finish until 9:30, and I got a text from Dave at one point hoping that the cabbie showed up. He did, and they made it back. This time, they did get to use carts, which I think they all appreciated. Although the whole course was shut down when they left, which was a little strange.
View from the ship.
Sculpture outside the Opera House.
A church looking up.
We couldn't find a sign that said when it was built.
The golfers, minus Nat, waiting for room service.

The second day in Oslo, Dave and I were planning on renting bikes. But you had to go to a tourist place and get a card and then go back to the bikes...too much work when we could just walk. So we did. Even in the rain!
Out and about.
Downtown
Not sure what building, but it's cool!
Ok. They were everywhere the night before when Linda, Dianna and I were walking around. Teens dressed up in costumes. And in the morning, they were still around. Seems to have had something to do with the summer solstice...no one we talked to was too sure. But it was humerous!
Farmer's market.
A very tall door.
Middle of town.
Top of the Military base.
More Military.

I just love it!
Leaving Oslo.
Lighthouses!

Bergen, Norway

Bergen was probably one of my favorite cities in Norway. Even though it is the 2nd largest, it still had spots where it felt quaint and not too comercialized. We rode the tram up to the top and were planning on taking a hike, but the trip to the top took almost an hour and we still wanted to see the town. So we decided that we would just hike down and walk, which we did.
The view from the top.
Dave and I
Our troll.
Linda and Art with the troll.
They had a small forest of trolls at the top...this was just one.
The path down.

One of the quirks we came across (not just in Norway either) was that there don't appear to be rules of the road. Cars were everywhere, and we never saw a stop sign. Although, they always did stop for pedestrians. But, they parked all over the place. Didn't seem to matter which direction or which side of the road you were on....
Cars...
Backsides of some houses.
And through this door lies your imagination!

Once we got down from the mountain, it was lunch time. Problem was, most of the places we walked into were cafeteria style. Not what we wanted. So Debbie and I walked into a male clothing store (think metro-sexual) and asked the guy where he liked to eat. He asked us if we liked fresh food and we of course said yes! He pointed us in the direction of this little hole in the wall place that served organic, fresh and gluten free food. And better yet, it had flavor! Woohoo! Happy tummies!! We walked some more and saw the large cathedral in Bergen then made our way back to the ship.

The Cathedral.
We were constantly being followed by the sea gulls.
